The AABB User Guide for the December 2021 Circular of Information for the Use of Human Blood and Blood Components (Circular) is intended to supplement your understanding of FDA’s regulatory requirements related to use of the Circular. It explains the role of this “extension of labeling” that is used on a daily basis by blood collection establishments, transfusion services, and health-care providers.
