July Issue of AABB News Focuses on Pediatric Transfusion Medicine

The July issue of AABB News focuses on pediatric transfusion medicine, from cord blood banking to pediatric apheresis. The first feature explores intrauterine transfusion (IUT), a unique and rare procedure to treat fetal anemia. In this article, experts provide a multidisciplinary perspective and discuss the extensive amount of preparation undertaken at blood centers to select and process the donor blood required for IUT.
