AABB Releases Guide to Donor Hemoglobin Determination

AABB is excited to announce the release of the new AABB Guide to Donor Hemoglobin Determination.

Anemia in prospective blood donors can indicate underlying diseases, result in ineffective transfusion products and cause harm to recipients. Since red cells are the most-transfused blood component, measuring donor hemoglobin levels to determine eligibility is crucial.
