Reminder: Complimentary Registration Available to AABB, CMSA Event to Help Enhance Case Managers' Understanding of Blood Transfusion

AABB is partnering with the Case Management Society of America (CMSA) for a complimentary webinar that aims to equip case managers with essential knowledge about blood transfusion. This will empower attendees to navigate challenges and facilitate seamless patient experiences.

The session will examine the intricacies of blood transfusion, focusing on bedside care and risk mitigation strategies. Case managers who attend will be able to identify key indicators and complications associated with transfusions to proactively address patient needs and concerns.

Attendees will also receive valuable AABB-developed resources, including the AABB 2023 Red Blood Cell Transfusion International Guidelines and AABB Blood Component Cards to aid in understanding clinical use and infusion information associated with blood products. The session will explore critical aspects of blood donation and vaccination policies, emphasizing their relevance to informed consent, patient care and safety.

The webinar will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. ET on Monday, Aug. 19. Registration is complimentary for the public.
