CDC Webinar to Focus on Thalassemia

The next installment of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)’s public health webinar series on blood disorders will be a thalassemia overview for pediatricians.

In this webinar, Alexis Thompson, MD, MPH, will discuss the diagnosis and clinical management of thalassemia, with an emphasis on information that is most relevant for pediatricians. She will provide information on how to accurately diagnose thalassemia, as well as the pathophysiology and management most associated with severe forms of thalassemia.

The program is scheduled for 2-3 p.m. ET on Thursday, Nov. 7. This webinar is free and open to public health professionals, clinicians and researchers seeking more information about blood disorders. Advanced registration is required.
