CDC Grand Rounds to Address Thalassemia Management in Older Adults

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention will host a grand rounds Feb. 21 focusing on the management of thalassemia in individuals over the age of 50. In this program, Farzana Sayani, MD, MSc, medical director of the Red Blood Cell Disorders Program at the University Health Network in Toronto, will discuss clinical considerations for transfusion-dependent and non-transfusion-dependent patients in this age group. She will also highlight common challenges, associated conditions and treatment strategies. 

The virtual program will take place 2-3 p.m. ET. Registration is complimentary but required to attend.
