AABB’s Global Transfusion Webcast is a monthly event focusing on basic concepts of global transfusion medicine issues. The webcast is hosted by Daniela Hermelin, MD, CABP, chief medical officer of ImpactLife, assistant professor of pathology at Saint Louis School of Medicine, and chair of the AABB Social Media Committee; and Quentin G. Eichbaum, MD, PhD, MPH, MFA, MA, MSc, MMHC, FCAP, medical co-director of transfusion medicine and professor of pathology, microbiology and immunology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, professor of medical education at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, and founding chair of the AABB Global Transfusion Forum.
The series is based on Global Perspectives and Practices in Transfusion Medicine, published by AABB and edited by Eichbaum. Each episode of the webcast explores a chapter from the book and features guest experts from throughout the world.
