Houchin Community Blood Bank Announces New CEO

Houchin Community Blood Bank’s board of directors recently named Jonathan Bautista as the organization’s next chief executive and chief operating officer, the Bakersfield Californian reported last week. Bautista began in his new role on Jan. 3 and has more than 20 years of experience in blood banking. He succeeds Sean McNally, who left Houchin in October 2022.

"I'm excited to join the Houchin Community Blood Bank family and to be a part of the Bakersfield community," Bautista said in a news release. "Houchin Community Blood Bank in partnership with the community of blood donors has been saving lives since 1951, and my hope is that we continue to grow our donor community to ensure there is an ample supply of life-saving blood and blood products."
