The Food and Drug Administration’s 2023 Science Forum will focus on advancing regulatory science through innovation. This virtual event will take place June 13-14 and will feature a keynote presentation by Murray Lumpkin, MD, deputy director of integrated development, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
The forum will include presentations from FDA experts and nationally renowned scientists on eight topic areas, several of which will interest the transfusion medicine and biotherapies community. Speakers will address, among other topics, tools to effectively use big data; efforts to advance products based on novel technologies, such as regenerative medicine and cellular therapies; and medical countermeasures, infectious disease and pathogen-reduction technologies.
