LifeStream Blood Bank Names New President, CEO

LifeStream Blood Bank, an AABB institutional member based in Southern California, named Robert Sanchez as the organization’s next president and CEO, the Desert Sun reported last week. Most recently, Sanchez served as the vice president of the central United States division and the president of the northeast business unit for Biomat USA, Grifols. He previously held director and executive-level positions in administration, donor services, marketing and public relations with independent blood centers and the American Red Cross. Sanchez succeeds Rick Axelrod, MD, MBA, who retired as president and CEO on Sept. 18.
