AABB Releases Fourth Edition of Transfusion Medicine Self-Assessment and Review

AABB is pleased to announce the publication of the fourth edition of Transfusion Medicine Self-Assessment and Review in print and digital editions.

Developed for use with the Technical Manual, this popular resource helps trainees learn and review concepts in an examination format. This edition contains 900 brand-new multiple-choice questions covering 18 topics in blood collection/transfusion and cellular therapies.

The fourth edition features three new chapters on massive transfusion/ECMO, neonatal/pediatric issues and lab management. It also includes expanded cellular therapies content, updated American Society for Apheresis indications for apheresis and updated FDA guidance on donor eligibility. A special “bonus test” provides random questions in realistic simulation.
