AABB Seeks Feedback to Guide Updates to 12th Edition of CT Standards

AABB’s Cellular Therapy (CT) Standards Committee is seeking feedback to guide updates to the draft 12th edition of Standards for Cellular Therapy Services through Monday, April 15. The CT Standards Committee will review the comments before it meets to draft and finalize the proposed 12th edition this summer.

The draft 12th edition is based upon the final 11th edition of Standards for Cellular Therapy Services. Those who do not have access to the final 11th edition should email standards@aabb.org to request two-week trial access in the Standards Portal.

The CT Standards Committee requests that commenters identify the current standard by its number at the beginning of their comments, especially if commenting on more than one standard. The committee also encourages commenters to provide alternative wording if they think it would improve the clarity of a standard. Finally, those who agree or disagree strongly with a current standard should state a reason or submit data to support their viewpoint.

AABB will continue to hold the 60-day open comment period following the release of the proposed 12th edition of Standards for Cellular Therapy Services, currently scheduled to begin this summer. Individuals may submit comments online.
