The next installment of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)’s public health webinar series on bleeding disorders will focus on factor levels and bleeding in hemophilia genotype-positive females.
In this webinar, Jill Johnsen, MD, associate professor in the University of Washington’s Division of Hematology and Oncology, will discuss various considerations for females who have hemophilia genotypes, including inheritance patterns, factor levels, bleeding manifestations and nomenclature for diagnosis of hemophilia. She will also describe the Hemophilia A Research Program (HARP), a new study seeking to better understand the hemophilia bleeding risk in pregnancy and identify the causes of inhibitor formation in early childhood.
The program is scheduled for 2-3 p.m. ET on Thursday, May 16. This webinar is free and open to public health professionals, clinicians and researchers seeking more information about blood disorders. Advanced registration is required.
