Complimentary Registration Available for World Cord Blood Day Virtual Conference

November 06, 2024

Complimentary registration is available for the eighth annual World Cord Blood Day Virtual Conference, taking place Friday, Nov. 15. Each year, Save the Cord Foundation hosts this complimentary event to promote understanding of cord blood, highlight its role in treating more than 80 health conditions, and dispel common misunderstandings regarding cord blood and its potential clinical applications.

This year’s livestreamed opening session will serve as the official launch of "Cord Blood in the Classroom,” a new educational program designed to educate secondary and university students about the basics of cord blood. This session will highlight the program's development, content and important impact on the next generation of doctors, nurses, parents and policy makers.

The program also includes on-demand presentations from top cord blood transplant doctors and researchers, covering the latest cord blood studies and global cord blood programs. It also features an interview with a double cord blood transplant recipient and cancer survivor. A full program agenda is available online

The World Cord Blood Day web page includes additional resources for organizations and individuals interested in participating, such as a global event calendar, educational games and videos, and cord blood facts. AABB encourages members of the blood and biotherapies community to share their World Cord Blood Day activities and follow along on Facebook and X (Twitter) using the #WCBD24 hashtag.
