Trump Nominates Kennedy as HHS Secretary

President-elect Donald Trump announced he plans to
nominate former presidential candidate, environmentalist, and anti-vaccine activist Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to serve as the next secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). If confirmed by the Senate, Kennedy will oversee the nation’s public health programs, including Medicare and Medicaid, as well as federal agencies such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Food and Drug Administration, the National Institutes of Health and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
