Reminer: Join the Community in Celebrating GivingTuesday

November 26, 2024

The AABB Foundation invites members of the blood and biotherapies community to celebrate GivingTuesday on Dec. 3, joining millions of people throughout the world participating in the global generosity movement.

GivingTuesday was launched in 2012 as a simple idea: to create a day that encourages people to do good. Since then, this idea has grown into a global movement that inspires people to give, collaborate and celebrate generosity.

The AABB Foundation extends its gratitude to each financial contributor who is helping make a difference in the lives of patients and donors. Throughout the years, the generosity of the blood and biotherapies community has enabled investigators to pursue advances in the treatment of hemophilia, sickle cell disease, perioperative bleeding and more.

This year alone, supporters helped the AABB Foundation award $600,000 in grant funding for scientists to conduct critical research for patients. Additional donations provide the support needed to continue scientific research efforts that can lead to new medical breakthroughs and change lives.

Those who are interested in joining AABB Foundation’s GivingTuesday philanthropy initiative of fueling innovative research in transfusion medicine and biotherapies can make a tax-deductible gift by visiting aabb.org/contribute.
