AABB Accepting Applications for 2025-26 Committee Membership

January 15, 2025

AABB encourages members of the blood and biotherapies community to help shape the future of the field by applying to serve on an AABB committee for the 2025-26 Association year, which begins in October. AABB will keep the applications on file for three years after the date of submission.

Committees are vital to the success of AABB. The Association’s committees and volunteers help ensure that the information it shares with the membership, public and media is timely and accurate. AABB committees also touch all aspects of blood and biotherapies, allowing members to help advance the field, influence new initiatives, meet like-minded professionals and expand their knowledge. In keeping with AABB’s commitment to personal and professional diversity, the Association especially encourages members who have not previously served on an AABB committee to apply.

AABB also encourages early-career professionals and those new to the Association to apply for junior committee membership, with more than 40 positions available this year. Eligible applicants must be current AABB student members or members with less than two years of membership who have not previously served on an AABB committee, task force or working group. Interested individuals should complete the committee volunteer form and select “junior committee member” under contact information.

The application deadline is Feb. 15. AABB will notify applicants if they have been selected for a committee by September. Those with questions about the application process or AABB committees may contact pep@aabb.org.
