The AABB Board of Directors approved the Association’s
2025 advocacy agenda, a framework that identifies AABB’s priorities and goals for shaping laws, regulations and other policies to drive meaningful change.
The 2025 advocacy agenda is grounded in AABB’s mission and vision, and is focused on the following policy priorities:
- Championing a resilient blood supply and a sustainable blood system that meets patients' needs.
- Increasing patients' access to safe and effective biotherapies.
- Protecting and improving coverage and reimbursement policies for blood, transfusion medicine and biotherapies.
- Enhancing patient and donor care and safety.
- Supporting research that is critical to driving innovation and advancements in transfusion medicine and biotherapies.
AABB encourages those interested in advancing these priorities to
become an AABB advocate. Advocates can connect with elected officials and urge them to support policies that strengthen blood banking, transfusion medicine, and biotherapies.
