ISCT 2025: AABB to Join Roundtable Discussion on Enabling Patient Access to CGTs

March 26, 2025

AABB will join key conversations defining the evolving role of blood centers in advancing the future of biotherapies at the International Society for Cell and Gene Therapy (ISCT) 2025 Annual Meeting, taking place May 7-10 in New Orleans, La.

On Wednesday, May 7, at 2:15 p.m., Jeff Wren, AABB’s vice president of biotherapies, will participate in the roundtable discussion, Enabling Patient Access – Preparing Local Sites for the CGT Wave, to examine the role of blood centers and pharmacies in expanding patient access to cell and gene therapies.

On Thursday, May 8, at 5 p.m., AABB will present during the Regulatory Affairs, Quality Systems, Policy, Ethics and Patient Access Oral Abstract Session to its new CGT Standards for Pharmacy. The abstract, Addressing Gaps in Pharmacy Standards for Cell and Gene Therapy Management, will highlight how these standards support the safe and effective integration of cell and gene therapies into pharmacy practice.

AABB also encourages those attending ISCT to visit the Association’s ISCT booth (#921) to learn how partnering with AABB can help make biotherapies safe, effective and available worldwide. Interested individuals can drop by the booth or schedule a meeting via the AABB BioBiooth web page.
