DRAFT 17th edition of Standards for Relationship Testing Laboratories

The DRAFT 17th edition of Standards for Relationship Testing Laboratories is available for public comment from November 4 until December 6, 2024.

After the conclusion of the DRAFT comment period, the Relationship Testing Standards Committee will meet to review all comments submitted and create the PROPOSED 17th edition of Standards for Relationship Testing Laboratories.

Please note, the 17th edition Standards for Relationship Testing Laboratories is currently in the creation phase, so we ask all individuals that wish to provide feedback to the Relationship Testing Standards Committee to base their feedback on the 16th edition of Standards for Relationship Testing Laboratories. If you require access to the 16th edition Standards for Relationship Testing Laboratories, please reach out to AABB’s Standards Department for a two week trial in the Standards Portal.

This comment period does not replace the 60-day comment period for the proposed edition. The purpose of this comment period is to garner feedback on what topics should be covered in the proposed 17th edition of Standards for Relationship Testing Laboratories. The 60-day comment period should begin in January 2025.

To Comment on the DRAFT Standards:

1. Submit comments by December 6, 2024 through the fillable form. Users can also submit comments via email to standards@aabb.org
2. Include name and postal address/fax number/email address, as appropriate.
3. Identify the standard by its number at the beginning of the comments.  This identification is especially helpful if you comment on more than one standard.
4. Provide alternative wording if you think it would improve the clarity of a standard.  If you agree or disagree strongly with a proposed change, please state your reasons or submit data.
