AABB Seeks Feedback to Guide Updates to Standards for Relationship Testing Laboratories
November 04, 2024
AABB’s Relationship Testing Standards Committee is
seeking feedback to guide updates to AABB’s forthcoming 17th edition of Standards for Relationship Testing Laboratories. The deadline to
submit comments is Thursday, Dec. 6 – in advance of the committee meeting to draft and finalize the proposed standards for public comment in early 2025,
The draft 17th edition is based on the final
16th edition of Standards for Relationship Testing Laboratories. Those who do not have access to the 16th edition should email
standards@aabb.org to request a two-week trial access in the
Standards Portal.
The committee requests that commenters identify the current standard by its number at the beginning of their comments, especially if commenting on more than one standard. The committee also encourages commenters to provide alternative wording if they think it would improve the clarity of a standard. Finally, those who agree or disagree strongly with a current standard should state a reason or submit data to support their viewpoint.
AABB will continue to hold the 60-day open comment period following the release of the proposed 17th edition of Standards for Relationship Testing Laboratories, currently scheduled to begin in January.
